Conquest: Reimagined Mod for Windows

A free LOTR mod that greatly enhances and modernizes the game

The Conquest: Reimagined Mod tries to turn the medieval role-playing game into a more modern game with better graphics, smoother movement, and the sort of quality-of-life adjustments that people expect from modern games. It uses Unreal 5 to enhance the way the game runs.

This mod brings the Lord of the Rings: Conquest closer to becoming a modernized cross between Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod also expands this LOTR game with more maps, playable units and factions.

Modernizing for newer devices

This Lord of the Rings Conquest mod can include things like much larger battles and an improved AI grunt system because modern devices are more easily able to handle the workload. This also allows for the inclusion of more factions. The many re-skins and added unit designs also run perfectly fine on modern devices.

Several game-balancing changes

The game is very differently balanced, thanks to the mod. Archers have limited arrows but may retrieve them from dead bodies. Mages have been nerfed and had new abilities added. Scouts can no longer backstab heroes. Arrow hit-timing/hit-delay has also been made more realistic.

Epic amounts of changes

The developers have added a great number of features and changes that it is a shame they didn't make a new RPG game themselves. Even the way the grunts are now programmed, classed, and updated is worthy of its own game. This is more like a new game than an update or HD remaster.

Fits together brilliantly

There are cracks in this mod’s armor. You are going to find unbalanced areas you can exploit, but as a whole experience, it is a very good update of this game that helps it appeal to modern and younger players.

A lot of planning went into the mod, which may be why the various game mechanics still work well and don't clash even after so many in-game changes.
